Compilation This is a collection of the South's finest in mu-sick from around the turn of the century. An A-list of protagonists. The Hi-Tone Destroyers, The Steffan Van Soest hit Machine, The Try Hards, the Ho-Dogs, Matt Alien, Tony Valens &the Incisions, The Dellburgoes, Terry T, The Strap Ons and the Palace of Wisdom. There isn't a dud track on here but due to word constraints we must be brief. Lets start with The Dellburgoes' fabulous southern stroppy punk/blues anthem 'last twist'. You won't forget Stefan Van Soest either, especially when his Hit Machine takes you trackside with 'lets go harness racing'. Matt Aliens 'bleed for the devil' is incredible. Enough said. Onto The Palace of Wisdom with '22 and fucked up' which has the killer chorus "I know drugs will make me feel better", believe me after years of abuse its still true! Everyone makes a return appearance except the fabulous Dellburgoes and some of the following tracks could better the earlier ones but that's for you to decide after you've gone out, bought it and repeatedly listened it!!!! To do that your going to have to go to www.rockstar.co.nz and you can even listen to some samples so you'll know I ain't full of shit. This rocks. Som Kant |
